Vista services to transfer to BID Services on 6th May 2026, becoming Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sensory Services (delivered by BID Services)
Following our recent update, we are pleased to confirm that some of Vista’s services will be transferring to BID Services. This means your services will continue to be delivered without interruption, just by a different organisation. Please find below an update explaining what services are transferring, when changes will take place and how you can access support.
The services transferring include:
- Information, Advice and Guidance
- Eye Clinic Liaison Services
- Rehabilitation services i.e. mobility and orientation training
- Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) registration
- Day Opportunities – support for deafblind clients
When will this happen?
The transfer will take place on Wednesday 6th May 2026. Up until Tuesday 5th May 2026, Vista will continue to deliver services as usual. From 6th May 2026, these services will be delivered by BID Services.
What does this mean for you?
If you are currently receiving support, this will continue. The support you receive will not change and you will continue to be supported by the same staff member(s). If you are not currently receiving support but find you need support, please contact BID Services from the 6th May 2026. While the organisation delivering these services will change, the service itself will remain the same. Vista and BID Services staff teams are working together closely to make this transition as smooth as possible.
BID Services will continue supporting those who are sight impaired or deafblind living in Leicester, Leicestershire, or Rutland. The new service will be known as: Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Sensory Services (delivered by BID Services).
