Birmingham Local Services

Across Birmingham, we provide specialist services offering practical and emotional support for those who are D/deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind. This includes support for those who are profoundly Deaf British Sign Language (BSL) users and those with acquired hearing loss. We also provide support for those who are blind or partially sighted, working in collaboration with Focus Birmingham.

These services include:

  • Accessing information and advice around debt and benefits e.g. Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Help with budgeting and managing your money
  • Tenancy and housing support
  • Staying safe in your own home
  • Health and wellbeing activities and information
  • Social groups, befriending and support to reduce isolation
  • Support to access employment, education, training and volunteering
  • Children and young people’s activities including Youth Club and holiday activities
  • Specialist care home and supported living service
