On the 6th May 2026 Vista’s services transferred to BID Services. These services retain their local identity, community feel and staff team and are delivered under the service name Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Sensory Services. Through decades of change, Vista has continually evolved to meet the needs of its community and this transition represents the next step in securing sustainable, long-term support for people living with sight impairments and dual sensory loss.
We are delighted to be continuing the 168 year legacy of delivering life changing services for people living with sight impairments and those who are deafblind in the region.
To mark this legacy and celebrate Vista’s long and rich history, we are sharing a video put together by the wonderful team at Vista showcasing the impact of Vista’s services and an audio history of Vista.

These services become part of the BID Services community and will be known as Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Sensory Services, delivering support to children, young people and adults with sight or severe sight impairments or who are deafblind, and their families/carers.
