VI Art Group Donation
We are incredibly grateful to Yorkshire Building Society for their generous donation of £1,000 to our Visually Impaired Art Group in Leeds.
This support will enable us to provide more resources and opportunities for our members, who continue to express themselves creatively and build connections through art. With this funding, we can expand our range of tactile materials, introduce new creative sessions, and increase accessibility to make art more inclusive for everyone. Thank you, Yorkshire Building Society, for helping us bring the joy of art to the visually impaired community in Leeds. Your kindness truly makes a difference!
You might think art is all about what you can see, but this group is proving that’s not the case. Here, participants explore art through touch, sound, and texture. From working with clay to feeling the textures of different materials or even listening to music while creating—there’s no limit to how creative you can get!
The volunteers who run the sessions make sure everyone feels welcome and supported. They guide participants through the process, helping them try out new techniques and encouraging them to have fun. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried anything like this before—the group is for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or have dabbled in art before.

Visually Impaired Art Group is run every Monday at Leeds Sensory Services.
