Day Opportunities
Please note these services will commence on Wednesday 6th May 2026.
As part of our Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Sensory Services, we offer 1:1 Day Opportunities support for people who have a visual impairment or who are deafblind, helping them stay connected, independent, and engaged in everyday life.
This support is available to those living in Leicester and Leicestershire only.
Our Day Opportunities Service supports people to access meaningful daytime activities that meet their needs and interests. This support promotes improved health and wellbeing, reduces isolation, and helps individuals maintain independence and quality of life.
We provide a person‑centred, flexible service, delivered mainly on an outreach basis from or in a person’s home, as well as within local communities. The service can also include building- or community‑based activities, depending on individual needs. Please note that personal care is not provided.
The service is specialist and tailored for adults with sensory impairment, primarily supporting people who are deafblind. We also support those who may have an additional physical, cognitive, or mental health needs alongside their sensory impairment.
Support can be arranged daily or weekly and is built around your needs through development of a coproduced Support Plan.
