BSL Interpreting Apps – How to Guides

Over the years we have seen a rise in accessible technology, part of this rise has been the introduction of BSL video translation apps. These apps enable the D/deaf community to independently make phone calls to other organisations independently.

BID Services are proud to have been working in partnership with The Ian Karten Charitable Trust and Leeds Community Foundation to develop our Digital Inclusion Project which focuses on supporting the D/deaf community when using BSL video translation apps.

We have also created BSL accessible videos showing a visual “how to” guide on how to download and important information to remember.

These videos include:

  • How to download – Apple device
  • How to download – Android sevice
  • Opening times
  • Important information

By providing these resources and support, we aim to enhance the digital knowledge and independence of the D/deaf community.
