Preparing for Adulthood (Birmingham)

Event Series (See All)

22 June @ 10:30 am 4:00 pm

We are running an event at our Deaf Cultural Centre for young people aged 14+ to meet with our support services and other local services to help plan their next steps once they leave school. This event will be running between 10:30am – 4pm – drop-in whenever suits you, you do not need to stay all day!

This could be a great opportunity to learn about and explore the services available to your child, including (but not limited to):

  • Employment Services – for support with interview practise, CV writing and understanding their rights to Access to Work (ATW).
  • Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) Services – learn about how to manage money, bills, living independently, letter translation etc.
  • Community Services – learn about all of the social groups we run for a chance to make new friends, try accessible and fun activities!

Families and carers are welcome to join!

A simple lunch of sandwiches and crisps will be provided. Refreshments available throughout the day.

If you are interested, please register by completing the online form.
