Welcome to our October newsletter
Hello and thank you for taking the time to look through our newsletter. We’re excited to be sharing news and updates from across BID Services. If you have any feedback, please get in touch.
Women’s Health BSL Videos

We’ve recently added Women’s Health videos in BSL to our Information Library! We’ve covered topics such as domestic abuse, breast screening, healthy relationships and more. Each video has BSL, subtitles and voiceover. We hope you find them useful!
A few things to know about guide dogs

Guide dogs can play a vital role in helping someone with a visual impairment (VI) to gain independence, to live actively and more confidently. In our recent blog we shared some important information about these furry heroes and answered some common questions.
Art Group for those with a visual impairment

Our volunteer led Visually Impaired (VI) Art Group in Leeds gathers weekly with members taking part in different creative activities and learning new skills. As you can imagine, these activities require a lot of resources from paints and brushes to markers which requires ongoing funding. Any donation you can make to this group will help us to cover the group’s running costs and have a positive impact on our members’ lives. Would you rather buy something for our group? Why not visit our Amazon Wish List to see the list of equipment the group needs and how you can help.
Birmingham Youth Club

Our Birmingham Deaf Youth Club enjoyed a summer full of fun and inclusive activities thanks to recent Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) funding. Take a look on our website to see what they got up to!
We’re updating our website!

We’re updating our website! We’ve listened to your feedback and are working hard in the background to provide you all with a website that is easier to navigate, has even more useful resources and more accessible! Look out for the release date on our social media channels.
