Location: Lincolnshire

About the role
We are looking for supportive, friendly and committed individuals to transport families/children and young people with hearing or visual impairments to our events within Lincolnshire area. We would like to recruit volunteers in various areas particularly Spalding, Boston, Lincoln and Gainsborough.

What you will need to be considered
You will need to have access to your own vehicle with business cover on your insurance for this role. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed at 45p per mile. A full clean driving licence is required along with a positive and supportive attitude towards our service users.

What will you get in return?
This role will enable you to be involved in helping others to achieve their full potential and an opportunity to develop your sign language skills and be part of a friendly and caring team. You will be given all necessary training including deaf and visual awareness training and be able to complete a short online First Aid and Safeguarding course. Availability mainly at weekends/evenings and school holidays and dates would be planned ahead.

About us
Our Lincolnshire Chance to Meet Service provides regular activities for children and young people with all sensory impairments. The types of activities we organise range from Easter and Christmas parties, picnics, visits to local parks, activity play centres, bowling and sessions with local and national disability sports organisations. Wherever possible, our activities are inclusive for children and young people with all sensory impairments.
