KICKSTART Opportunities

BID Services (BID) and the Deaf Cultural Centre (DCC) recognise that it is vital that young people are offered real good quality jobs, with training built in that leads to real prospects.

The organisation is supportive of the Future Jobs Fund, we have subscribed to the KICKSTART Scheme because we recognise the benefits of the programme for young people.

As part of the programme, we are offering young people aged 16-24 paid six month placements.

Support Worker - Durham

We are seeking a committed individual to join our small and friendly team in Durham to support our service users who are Deaf, Deafened & Hard of Hearing with their on-going development and maintenance of independent living in their homes (and where appropriate), the wider community, by giving appropriate support and using advice networks.

Information, Advice & Support Officer

We are seeking an Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Officer to join our team in Cumbria to provide technologically advanced city-wide Information, Advice and Support services to empower our citizens with hearing loss and may have additional disabilities to reduce social isolation, gain independence and be able to fully participate in their communities.

Youth Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small and friendly team to facilitate the provision of online youth activities appropriate to the developmental stages of the young people involved across the key areas of Birmingham, Leeds, Lincolnshire, Milton Keynes, Durham, Coventry and Warwickshire and other areas across the UK.

Volunteer Befriender
