Relief Residential Support Worker 

Location: Erdington, Birmingham 
Salary:  £ 8.72 per hour 
Hours: As and when required 

Are you an experienced care worker who has BSL skills or would like to learn and wish to work flexibly ?

We are recruiting for Support Workers to join our Chesterberry Residential Care home in  Birmingham to provide support and guidance in day to day life to Deaf people who may have other sensory impairments and learning disabilities, enabling residents to be as independent as they possibly can. 

You will work as part of a dedicated team assisting residents to access education ,leisure and recreational opportunities both at home and in the community.

The service operates 24 hours and 7 days a week therefore you must be flexible and willing to work shifts which are outlined in the rota including weekends, nights  and also accompany on day trips, holidays and evening activities to maintain the family /friends ethos in our home for life. 

To be successful you will have gained experience  in care settings and have worked previously with individuals who are Deaf and/or have other disabilities . You will be able to provide personal care, domestic and community support also undertaking risk assessments. NVQ 2 in health and social care and BSL qualifications  are an advantage.

This is a relief post hours working as and when required.
