Relief Community Support Worker
Location: Durham
Salary: £9.21 per hour
Hours: As and when required
We are seeking a committed individual to provide community support to our Deaf female client in the County Durham area. The successful applicant will provide personalised support to our sensory impaired client in accordance with their individual support plans to encourage and promote independent living within their homes and in the community.
As part of your role you will support the client with a range of activities that require support ( this list is not exhaustive):
To be successful for the role you will have a good understanding of disabilities including hearing impairment, sight impairment, deafblind and physical disabilities, being able to communicate at a BSL Level 2 standard. Experience in providing support to vulnerable people, following personalised individual support plans. Having /having access to a vehicle is an advantage but not essential. Please note, activities would only take place once the COVID-19 is under control following Government guidelines. This is a relief post as and when required.
