Project Officer- Chance to Meet  

Location: Lincolnshire 
Salary:    £20,540 pro-rata per annum

Hours: 15 hours per week 

Contract: Permanent

Are you someone who enjoys spending time with children of all ages?

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team to develop our Chance to Meet project by running events across Lincolnshire for children and young people with hearing and sight loss and their families.

Working under the supervision of the Team Manager as part of the role you will be responsible for:

  • To prepare activities in advance including risk assessments and ensuring venues are accessible for families who attend.
  • Supporting and coordinating volunteers in their presence at events and preparing activities.
  • Promoting activities on social media and at networking events and meetings with other organisations and stakeholders.
  • To encourage and empower children and young people to engage in activities.
  • Informing Team Manager about any complex and/or sensitive issues which may come to your attention whilst running activities.
  • To work alongside the Business and Funding Manager at BID Services to source national and local funding opportunities.

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Experience in providing support to vulnerable people and their families
  • Experience in organising activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able communicate with wide range of people
  • Be able to use Social Media platforms and attend networking events
  • Holding a valid driving licence and ha a vehicle or access to a vehicle is essential for this role
