Operations Manager (Interpreting Service)

Location: Birmingham 
Salary: £35,242-£36,418 per annum
Hours: 37 hours  

This is an exciting opportunity to take on the challenging role of managing and developing BID's Interpreting Service within the West Midlands and nationally.

This is a key strategic role within our management group, where you will be operationally accountable for  the development and profitable growth of the Interpreting and Communication Services, with overall responsibility for excellent people management throughout the team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced manager with strong leadership skills and ideally hold a higher management qualification. You will be articulate, self-motivated with the confidence to make difficult decisions under pressure and able to network with other professionals in order to build strong and successful professional relationships. You must have knowledge of service delivery, procurement and contract management and/or experience  of mobilising and and developing new services. You will also be numerate and competent when dealing with complex data.

Ideally, but not essentially you will have knowledge of providing services to people with sensory and other disabilities. It would also be advantageous if you have knowledge of providing Interpreting services and an understanding of the code of ethics associated with the profession or similar.
