KICKSTART Opportunities

BID Services (BID) and the Deaf Cultural Centre (DCC) recognise that it is vital that young people are offered real good quality jobs, with training built in that leads to real prospects.

The organisation is supportive of the Future Jobs Fund, we have subscribed to the KICKSTART Scheme because we recognise the benefits of the programme for young people. 

As part of the programme, we are offering young people aged 16-24 paid six month placements.

Working hours -25 hours per week paid at national minimum wage between £4.62 to £8.91 per hour with paid annual leave.  

The programme will provide on-the job training alongside the opportunity to attend a clear criteria of core training. Each individual will have a dedicated line manager that will provide advice and support, regular supervision, for feedback on performance and development. Assuring health, wellbeing and safety with access to our Employee Assistance Programme.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible for this program if you are:

  • aged 16-24
  • receiving Universal Credit

What do I need to do to apply?

If you are interested in applying, you need to contact your Job Centre Plus Coach who will guide you through the application process.
