IAG officer/Community Trainer

Location: Birmingham 
Salary: £21,867 pro-rata per annum
Hours: 20 hours per week 

Contract: Temporary Maternity Cover until Nov 2022

We are seeking an experienced IAG Officer/Community Trainer to join our specialist team that provides services to citizens with a hearing loss to overcome barriers and empower them to gain independence, build resilience, reduce social isolation and fully participate in communities.

The roles involves designing and providing specialist training sessions, and providing information, advice and guidance on a range of topics using British Sign Language, Sign Supported English or other communication methods that meet the needs of citizens with hearing loss.

You will be a team player and have previous experience of operating in a similar role with knowledge of social welfare advice, including benefits, employment and debt.. Essentially you will be able to communicate to a BSL level 2 standard, have good IT skills and working knowledge of social media platforms and using Zoom/Skype etc.

In addition, you will have a good understanding of safeguarding and be able to undertake contact assessments and carry out risk assessments.
