Hospitality Supervisor 

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £20,800 pro-rata per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Hospitality Supervisor to work as part of our high-performing conference and sales team to oversee the day-to-day running and smooth functioning of the Signing Tree Venue and the Deaf cultural centre.

As part of the role, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, checking, and signing for deliveries/ stock control.
  • Undertaking monthly stocktakes of both wet and dry stock and report in a timely manner.
  • Understanding and being able to provide quotes for events in the absence of the sales executive.
  • Administration support to both the Venue Manager and Sales executive as needed.
  • Ensuring all food safety requirements are upheld and monitored for updates.
  • Ensuring all food preparation and delivery adheres to allergen requirements and the use of fresh food is a priority in the preparation of all menu items.
  • Carrying out opening and closing of the building in line with security procedures.
  • Drawing up staff rota systems ensuring all shifts, and events are adequately staffed, taking responsibility for the security of the building by ensuring the rota covers locking up each evening.
  • Ensuring that the venue is well presented at all times.
  • Supervising a team.

To be successful for the role you will have a proven track record of working within a busy hospitality sector, possessing exceptional customer service, organizational and team management skills. This position requires the successful applicant to assist our sales Manager so experience of sales would be advantageous but full training will be given. All posts are subject to DBS Checks.
