Assistant Rehabilitation Officer VI

Location: Northumberland 
Salary: £18,787 per annum 

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week  
Contract Length: Permanent 

We are recruiting for an Assistant Rehabilitation Officer (VI) to work as part of our team that provides a range of services to adults that have a visual impairment and associated disabilities within the Northumberland area, to improve the quality of life and promote independence of service users. As part of the role you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting service users and support them by undertaking assessments to identify the options available to meet their needs
  • Manage own case load with responsibility
  • Undertake comprehensive case recording including case notes
    develop person centered support plans linked to outcomes
  • Provide professional advice and assistance to the service users and sign post them on to other services

You will have experience of working with visually impaired people, be able to undertake needs led assessments, manage a comprehensive case load and be able to use BID’s Service database. You will receive support and guidance from the local Senior Team Leader but you will have the ability to work independently. It is essential that you have a driving licence and a vehicle available for work.
