Assistant Rehabilitation/IAG Officer

Location: Solihull
Salary: £18,520-£19,961 per annum( dependent on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week

Do you have the skills to work with people with a visual impairment ?Then we would love to hear from you!

You will have the ability to undertake low level assessments and develop person-centered support plans. You will receive training support and guidance form our qualified Rehabilitation Officer to deliver services to visually impaired people to support independence, but have the ability to work independently managing a low complex caseload.

Based at Solihull and Chelmsely Wood Libraries, the role will also entail providing information, advice and guidance to sensory impaired people  accessing the service and knowledge to signpost on to other providers

It is essential that you have previous experience of working with visually impaired people and desirable that you have worked with people with a hearing impairment,having a good understanding of the associated issues surrounding sensory impairments. British Sign Language skills are an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.

This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2022 working with a small friendly team with the opportunity to develop your sign language skills and participate in a range of training opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills.
