Location: Leeds
Salary: £20,540 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

To provide a high quality, community based service to people who have a sensory loss e.g., adults and young people aged 16+ who are deaf, hearing impaired, sight impaired, severely sight impaired, deafblind or have acquired dual sensory loss.

As part of the role, you will be required to provide a person centred service, provide information and advice on a range of topics using British Sign Language and/or other appropriate modes of communication to facilitate communication between service users and third parties where required. You will have the responsibility to manage complex caseloads, undertake assessments and re-assessments, provide a range of housing related interventions, promote independent living by advising, informing and referring on behalf of service users assisting them to access universal credit, housing welfare and personal independence payments.

To be successful for the role, you will have experience of working with people who have a sensory loss, have previous experience in undertaking assessments and managing case loads. Excellent communication, IT and administration skills are required for this post. You will also be qualified to BSL Level 3.
