Parenting Group Coordinator

Contract: Fixed Term for 6 months
Interview date: TBC

We are recruiting for a Parenting Group Coordinator  to join our volunteering and community team.

The role will include:

  • Planning, setting up and running a weekly parenting group for deaf parents of hearing children and hearing parents of deaf children to come together with children to access weekly information sessions.
  • To arrange workshops, guest speakers, peer support groups.
  • Supporting children to build friendships, learn family sign language to improve communication within the family unit.
  • Administrative duties

 To be successful in the selection process you should have/be:

  • Excellent communication/administration skills
  • Minimum of level 3 of British Sign Language or native BSL user
  • Great interpersonal skills,
  • Be highly organised
  • Flexible to the demands of the service.
