Here at BID, a charity that supports individuals with sensory impairment, we have an exciting opportunity for an HR Officer to join our team.
In this role you work alongside our People and Culture lead, supporting the delivery of the HR strategy and being the lead on onboarding processes (recruitment through to induction), attendance management and our HR System.
As part of the role you will:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process (including employment checks)
- Welcome new staff into the organisation ensuring the experience is a positive one
- Advising managers of BID’s Managing Attendance Policy and Procedures and supporting actions to maximise employee attendance at work
- HR Lead for HR Admin excellence in the service, including developing our HR System
- Support line managers in resolving employee relation cases
To be successful for this post you will have:
- Proven experience in an HR role, supporting and advising managers
- Strong organisational and planning skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills to liaise with stakeholders
- Proficiency with, and passion for, HR systems databases
- Great customer service skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Working towards or already obtained a CIPD qualification
