We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to support the team in our 7 bedded residential care home providing exceptional, person-centred support for our residents who have sensory loss and complex disabilities to enable them to live fulfilling, independent lives.
About the role:
- Assisting service users with daily living tasks, personal care, and decision-making while following care plans and promoting their independence.
- Support service users’ community engagement, facilitate family and volunteer interactions, and maintain professional relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
- Day-to day management duties e.g. staff rotas, covering shifts, support recruitment and staff development, and take leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager
- Administrative duties such as maintaining accurate records, prepare reports, attend meetings, ensure confidentiality, and contribute to maintaining high service performance standards.
- Continuously improve personal skills, follow organizational policies, promote equal opportunities, and remain adaptable to changing organizational needs and requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in supporting individuals who have sensory and other disabilities in a care environment.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification Health and Social care or the willingness to work towards
- Experience in leading a team.
- Excellent communication, IT and administrative skills
- British Sign Language qualification is an advantage or willingness to work towards
- Flexibility to work on a rota
