Children & Young People Service

We run activities in Birmingham for D/deaf and hard of hearing children and young people aged 8 – 18 and their siblings.

Our aim is to support young people’s development, increase their aspirations and increase their access to social and leisure activities, enabling them to have the same level of social life more readily available to their hearing peers.

Our specialist skilled team of staff and volunteers use a total communication approach (BSL, Sign Supported English, English and objects of reference) to provide supportive, accessible events and activities designed to meet the needs of children within the Deaf community.

Weekly Youth Club

Our weekly Youth Club for young people who are D/deaf or hard of hearing aged 8 – 14 years runs every Wednesday from 4:30pm – 6pm during term time.

Please contact us for further information.

Holiday Activities

We organise school holiday activities for D/deaf and hard of hearing children and their siblings. Activities range from arts and crafts, climbing, sailing, day trips, music sessions and so much more!

If you would like to book a place for your child, please contact us.

Want to volunteer with us?

Our volunteers are invaluable and make a huge difference to our work. Whatever your skills, experience and interests, we probably have a volunteering opportunity that will suit you.
