Coronavirus update

Last updated on 19th April 2021

Our Leeds Hearing & Sight Loss Service can now offer appointments for face-to-face support as well as operating remotely. Gallery House office is open three days a week for people to access the equipment rooms as well as Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service.

Hearing Aid Drop In Clinics
We are planning on opening our Hearing Aid Community Services in May/June. People who are having difficulty with their hearing aids can contact us in the normal way and we will do our best to help.

We will continue to offer a postal service for people who need batteries and tubes. However, if you or a family member are unable to re-tube your hearing aid we will be able to provide you support to do this.

Equipment Service
We are aware that your specialist equipment and technology is important to you and if it stops working for any reason this could affect your life significantly. We will continue to offer support and advice in this area. Opening Gallery House on a Tuesday and Thursday, for face-to-face appointments, please contact us to book an appointment. If you are unable to come to Gallery House we can visit you in your own home or offer remote support.

Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
You can continue to access our IAG service from the comfort of your own home. We will provide support over the phone, FaceTime, text, or WhatsApp. If you would prefer a face-to-face appointment at our office, Gallery House, please contact us.

Eye Care Liaison Officer (ECLO)
If you are concerned about your sight loss and need someone to talk to our ECLO worker is available within working hours to provide advice, emotional support, and information about other services available to you.

Face-to-face Support
We will provide support face-to-face. Appointments will take place in line with government guidelines to ensure the safety of you and our staff. PPE will be worn and we will check in with you before your appointment to ensure you and those you live with do not have any symptoms of Covid 19 and are not self-isolating.

Gallery House in Leeds is now open, but there is limited staff on site for safety reasons and can only be accessed via an appointment system with an agreed date and time slot for appointments.
