Deaf people face many challenges in finding employment. They are one of the most disadvantaged groups in society and the labour market.  BID's Employment Service aims to address the inequalities by working with deaf people and their prospective employers to address all the obstacles to sustainable employment including:


  • Providing deaf awareness training for managers and colleagues
  • Allay any fears held by the employer surrounding communication with a deaf person and the cost this may incur to their business.
  • Supporting employee and employer with Access to Work (ATW)
  • Reducing a deaf person's isolation within the workplace.
