About the Service

The employment service provides support in helping deaf people find sustainable employment. Our unique service supports people with all levels of hearing loss and meets individual communication needs including British Sign Language.

We can offer pre-employability training including works skills training, support in accessing work experience and volunteering opportunities, job club as well as information, advice and guidance.

We also provide a comprehensive post-employment wrap-around service for employers and employees. Support includes deaf awareness training for employers, guidance and support in accessing DWP Access to Work funding, in-work mentoring and employer/employee advocacy.

We work closely with employers in order to raise awareness of deaf people’s skill sets and ambitions, to challenge inequality in the labour market and to promote the many benefits of employing deaf people, including having diverse work force.
