From M6:

Leave at Junction 6 and follow the A38(M) into Birmingham. Keep over to the right lane. After approx. 2 minutes, the motorway ends, stay on the right lane immediately going over the flyover (A38) then under 3 tunnels. After the 3rd tunnel, proceed for about 400 yards to traffic lights and turn right (McDonalds is on the opposite corner). Proceed up the hill (A4540: Lee Bank Middleway) until you get to the large Five Ways Island. Take the 3rd exit into Ladywood Middleway. Proceed for approx. 200 yards until just after the pedestrian crossing (before the social club and police station) turn left onto Leyburn Road. At the end of this road, turn right onto Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on the left, past the Norman Power Centre and opposite the Bethel Apostolic Church of Excellence.

From M5:

Leave at Junction 3 and follow the A456 into Birmingham. For approx. 5 miles, stay on the left lane and you will pass lots of traffic lights. At one of them, you will notice the Ivy Bush ahead of you on the left, turn here onto Monument Road. Continue along this road for a few hundred yards and take the 3rd right turn onto Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is clearly visible on the right.

If you are parking at the Broadway Plaza Car Park:

It is 5 minutes walk to the Deaf Cultural Centre. You will need to come out onto Ladywood Road, turn right and continue ahead - you will walk past the police station on your right. The Norman Power Centre is on your left. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards further on the left past the Norman Power Centre and opposite the Bethel Apostolic Church of Excellence.


By Bus

Bus No: 9, 120, 128, 129, 139,
140, 141

These buses go along the Hagley Road and if you are travelling from the city centre, they will go to the large Five Ways Island and use the underpass and once it gets to Hagley Road, you can get off at the first bus stop after Tricorn House. Once you get off, you can use the subway to get to the other side of Hagley Road. After leaving the subway (take the left exit), you will see Francis Road on your right. Walk down this road and continue onto Ladywood Road. After approx. 10 minutes walk, you will arrive at the Deaf Cultural Centre on your left.

If you are travelling towards the city centre, you can get off at the bus stop before Tricorn House (located just BEFORE the large Five Ways Island). From here, walk down Francis Road and continue onto Ladywood Road. After approx. 10 minutes walk, you will arrive at the Deaf Cultural Centre on your left.


By Train

The nearest stop to get off the train is at:

Five Ways (Bus)

When you come out of the station, the bus stop is just on your right. Catch the bus number 80 which will take you to Ladywood Middleway and you can get off just before the police station. With the police station on your left, continue walking for a couple of minutes. On your left, there is an opening where the Deaf Cultural Centre is visible, walk towards it. If the police station is on your right, Leyburn Road is not far and on the right, go to the end of this road and you are on Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on the left, past the Norman Power Centre and opposite the Bethel Apostolic Church of Excellence.

Five Ways (Foot)

When you come out of the station, walk towards the large Five Ways Island and go down the subway. Take the 2nd exit (to come out of the subway) and right onto Ladywood Middleway. You will see Tesco on your right, continue towards the Broadway Plaza which is on your left. Cross the pedestrian crossing and continue ahead. On your left, you will see Leyburn Road go to the end of this road and you are on Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on the left, past the Norman Power Centre and opposite the Bethel Apostolic Church of Excellence.

Five Ways (Taxi)

Book a taxi to pick you up from Five Ways station and take you to the Deaf Cultural Centre

You can also get off at Birmingham New Street

This is located at Birmingham City Centre and is the main station. It is approx. 5 minutes ride by taxi to the Deaf Cultural Centre.


By Metro

The nearest stop to get off the Metro is at Jewellery Quarter (Bus)
Once there, you need to catch bus number 8/8A. When you get to Alston Street/Monument Road, you will need to get off by the pedestrian crossing. You can see Ladywood Road from here, turn left. The Deaf Cultural Centre is further down on your right.
