Deaf Cultural Centre

The UK’s first and only Deaf Cultural Centre opened its doors in 2007 and provides a space in which deaf culture is celebrated, explored and represented through a number of art and community projects as well as social events.

The Centre is also home to BID Services, a Birmingham based Charity who have been working with deaf people and other communities since 1872 and the Signing Tree Venue, a conference and events business which also operates as a Social Enterprise. By booking your next event with us - whether it's a conference, meeting, training or party, you are helping us serve the communities in which we support.

The Signing Tree Cafe is at the heart of daily life here at the centre and is open Monday to Friday from 8:15am - 4:15pm if you ever fancy popping in for a drink. Why not arrange to catch up with your friends over breakfast, elevenses, lunch or better still, afternoon tea in our bright eatery?

We look forward to welcoming you to the Centre very soon!
