Services  Employment

bid services Employment Service has been running since 2007 and was originally funded through LSC (Learning Skills Council) and NRF (Neighbourhood Renewal Fund) funding awarded by the Birmingham City Council Department for Economic Development.

Our Employment Service, which is now funded by the Working Neighbourhood Transition Fund, has a fantastic track record of helping deaf and hard of hearing people find employment, develop new skills and find training opportunities. We provide advice, guidance and support, help with CV development and interview training.

We work closely with our clients and employers at a local level incorporating the diverse requirements of the deaf community into the service we offer. Our employment team also work extremely hard to challenge and overcome barriers that deaf and hard of hearing people experience finding work. More details in the 1st box on the right of the page.

Our commitment to developing a service that benefits the people we work with is second to none.  We pride ourselves on being able to support deaf people back into work and make a real difference to the lives of people we work with.  You can see this through our team’s commitment and what we offer, as shown on the 2nd box in the right side.
