BID Services has been appointed by Cumbria County Council to deliver a  three-year Specialist Equipment Support Service for adults and children with a Hearing Impairment, across Cumbria.

In partnership with Cumbria County Council, the new service starts on 1st September, 2011, and will carry out assessments to determine the equipment needs of service users and provide appropriate equipment that enables them to lead independent lives.

To support service users throughout the county, the service will be delivered through an outreach programme, which aims to support people with a hearing impairment.
