Level 2 Award in BSL
This qualification is designed to enable learners to develop an ability to communicate with deaf people using BSL in a range of familiar contexts, e.g. 'About you', 'Eating and Drinking', 'Shopping and Spending' and 'Travel'. Candidate must achieve all three units below for the full qualification.
BSL201 Receptive BSL -
Skills for understanding routine language in everyday situations expressed through simple sentence structures and set phrases in the form of a narrative.
BSL202 Productive BSL –
Skills for demonstrating use of routine language in everyday situations expressed through simple sentence structures and set phases in the form of a presentation.
BSL203 BSL Conversational Skills –
Skills for demonstrating ability to hold a routine conversation by using and understanding language expressed through simple sentences structures and set phases expressing views and/or clarifying understanding.
BSL Level 2 courses start in September 2010 at the Deaf Cultural Centre, Ladywood Road, Birmingham B16 8SZ
- Starts Thursday 8th September and ends on Thursday 31st May, 2012
- Lessons take place every Thursday evening from 6pm - 9pm
- Course fee: £430 + £119* (assessment fee £1.50)
- Full course and assessment payment required at enrolment.
