Welcome to the BID ‘Sign Up’ campaign page where you will be able to find all of the information you need to ‘Sign Up’ for British Sign Language (BSL) Classes, Fast-Track Courses and Taster Sessions.
What is ‘Sign Up’?
Sign up is our campaign to get as many people as possible to learn, or continue learning BSL. We want to introduce 250 new students to BSL in the next 6-12 months to actively increase the number of sign language users in the West Midlands.
Why should I ‘Sign Up’?
Learning BSL is a fantastic way of developing new communication skills that can lead to career developments, making new friends and building confidence.
In addition to this you will be helping to support the continued recognition of BSL as a language and increasing the number of BSL users in the West Midlands.
Learning BSL can also help make your workplace and the services and facilities you offer more accessible to Deaf customers and enhance communication between hearing and Deaf staff within your organisation.
How do I ‘Sign Up’?
There is lots of information on the courses available, course dates and costs via the links below. Once you have picked which course is for you, or a taster session you would like to attend just email us at bsl@bid.org.uk with your choice and preferred contact details and we will send you all the information you need.
