News — Come and join us as we celebrate Deaf Awareness Week!
Birmingham’s Lord Mayor will launch Deaf Awareness Week on Monday 28th June at the steps of the Town Hall with deaf and hearing children from a number of local schools. Together with BID Services, they will release balloons to kick off a number of events that has been planned for the rest of the week.
Other events include an Open Day on Friday 2nd July, which is being held at the Deaf Cultural Centre. This provides a great opportunity for businesses to find out how they can support deaf people in the workplace.
A musical extravaganza is taking place on Friday 2nd July from 7pm until late to showcase talented deaf artists, musicians and performers.
