A new brand name for the Deaf Cultural Centre’s Conference & Events Business

BID Services, a registered deaf charity, based in Ladywood, Birmingham is re-launching its conference and events business under a new brand name. The conference centre, which is based at the Deaf Cultural Centre, in Ladywood, Birmingham, will now be called The Signing Tree Conference Centre.

BID Services expands Interpreting Services to Doncaster

New SILCS Service
Published 24th May 2011
From 1st April, 2011, a new Sensory Impairment Service covering the whole of Lincolnshire will be provided through SILCS (Sensory Impairment Lincolnshire County Service). The new service will be delivered by BID Services, in partnership with Beacon Centre and Deafblind UK.

Deaf Athletics Day CANCELLED

Alexander Stadium regret they are no longer able to accommodate the Deaf Athletics Day that is scheduled for Saturday 21st May. This is due to delays in renovation work. BID Services therefore has no option but to postpone the Deaf Athletics Day.

What BID Services did for Deaf Awareness Week, 2011!

To celebrate Deaf Awareness Week this year, BID Services held a number of events which included a fingerspelling session at a local primary schools, an Open Morning at the Deaf Cultural Centre with the local Ambulance, Fire and Police Services and a community fundraising Car Wash.

Drop in Sessions for Deaf People seeking employment

Applying for employment can become confusing for deaf people if they are not aware of the correct procedure that’s involved when looking for work. Many do not know what to do or where to start. BID’s Employment Service fills the gap by offering a specialist support service to help those with hearing impairment develop skills and become successful in obtaining work.
