BID Services with Deaf People are pleased to announce that the new Deaf Cultural Centre in Ladywood Road, Birmingham, will be officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal on Monday 10th September 2007.
Members of the Deaf community and invited guests will be there to celebrate the occasion.
It marks the completion of the £3.5 million Centre which will house BID staff and services, but most importantly the Deaf Cultural Centre is here to celebrate and embrace Deaf Culture, providing a space in which Deaf people can express their culture.
HRH The Princess Royal will arrive at the new Deaf Cultural Centre at 12:55 and spend approximately one hour meeting the Deaf community before she reveals a plaque commemorating her visit and the opening of the Centre.
