BID Services to lead on new Sensory Impairment Support Service in Leeds

BID Services is delighted to announce it has been awarded a contract by Leeds City Council to deliver a combined Sensory Impairment Support Service to adults and young people aged 16+ living in Leeds.  

Starting on 3rd April, 2017, the new five year contract will be managed in partnership with local Leeds organisations, the Association of Blind Asians, Age UK Leeds and Feel Good Factor.  The new service will have a city centre base, supported by locally based provision within the communities of Leeds.

ASDA's £500 donation helps Deaf adults with additional learning disabilities

ASDA Small Heath has donated £500, which will be used to help us to continue running our Life Skills Group, to support deaf adults with additional learning disabilities. 

BID Services receives £29,000 from Peter Harrison Foundation to fund one year multi sports youth club for young deaf people

The project will support deaf coaches to set up sports clubs in the local community and to increase participation by delivering family friendly, fun and accessible events throughout the year such as football, rugby, basketball, cricket, ladies football and multi-sport activities. We will also deliver Deaf Awareness Training to mainstream sports centre staff.
