We are seeking to recruit a number of volunteers.
Volunteer - Sensory Advice Resource Centre (SARC) based in Milton Keynes
To provide support and advice to people with a hearing loss, their families, carers, community groups and professionals.
The role can include any or all of the following:
- To provide administrative support at the hearing aid support drop in clinics
- To demonstrate equipment to clients with a sensory impairment
- To give advice and information to clients about issues surrounding sensory impairment
- To arrange appointments for clients who would like to visit the resource room
- Demonstrate and give information about specialist equipment for people with a sensory impairment.
- Monitor numbers attending the resource room and feedback to SARC Team Leader

We are also looking for:
Volunteer - Deaf Elders Group (Birmingham)
To assist members of the Elders Group to ensure that they can enjoy the activity arranged for them, which includes Bingo, day trips etc.
Activities include supporting members (walking and pushing wheelchairs) into the building from outside (Ring and Ride, Taxis etc). Assist in ordering food for members at the café/hall if requested. To carry hot drinks/meals to the tables from the café/hall if requested.
Your contribution can make a difference and at the same time rewarding for you, this opportunity will give you the chance to gain new skills, meet new people and develop your experience gained which might lead to a particular career.
