To assist in the delivery of its communication support service to Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, our Communication Team is now seeking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated Sign Language Interpreter
Sign Language Interpreter
Full time, Permanent, INT2 and INT3 SCP 25-31: £21,298 - £26,006 per annum
(Salary dependent upon qualifications & experience)
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their ability to interpret between BSL and English and show aptitude to work in a range of community interpreting settings with an understanding of equal opportunity issues. Further training will be offered to successful applicants to develop their skills and to enable them to attain the full interpreting qualification.

Requirements
- Working as part of a team of Interpreters and Communication Support Workers, the successful applicant will need to be able to work on their own initiative as well as being a good team member.
- Applicants should ideally have attained TI or RQI status, although those possessing or currently undertaking a recognised academic qualification in interpreting will be considered.
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate their ability to interpret between BSL and English and show aptitude to work in a range of community interpreting settings with an understanding of equal opportunity issues.
- The post holder must be a car user and will be required to have a car available for business use.
- They must also be willing to work out of hours and be flexible in their approach to work.
