We are looking to recruit Locum Support Workers to work with Deaf, deafened and Deafblind clients of various ages. The post involves working on an as and when basis, therefore work is not guaranteed. The postholders will be responsible for working with a number of clients and carry out work identified within support plans. Duties will include supporting service users with daily living tasks and developing their skills to enable them to live independently. They will achieve this by providing housing related support ranging from developing their skills in preparing meals, daily household tasks, accessing social events, training and education, and ensuring appointments are kept and fair access to health services. BSL skills to a level 1 standard are required and experience of working with vulnerable people with a variety of support needs is desirable. Use of a car is essential.
