By Car
From M6
Leave at junction 6 and follow the A38(M) into Birmingham. Keep over to the right hand lanes. After approximately 2
miles the motorway ends, keep over to the right hand lane immediately going over the flyover (A38) then under 3 tunnels.
After the 3rd tunnel process for about 400 yards to traffic lights, turn right. (McDonalds is on the opposite corner).
Proceed up the hill (A4540: Lee Bank Middleway) for approx half a mile to large Five Ways island. Go straight ahead.
Tesco is on your right and you are on Ladywood Middleway. Proceed for approx. 200 yards and turn left (onto Leyburn
Road) just after a pedestrian crossing and before the social club and police station. At the end of the road turn right, this
is Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on the left, opposite the Welcome Inn.
From M5
Leave at junction 3 and follow the A456 into Birmingham. After approx. 5 miles stay in left lane to avoid the underpass
into Birmingham. At the large Five Ways Island turn left. Tesco is on your right and you are on Ladywood Middleway.
Proceed for approx. 200 yards and turn left (onto Leyburn Road) just after a pedestrian crossing and before the social
club and police station. At the end of the road turn right, this is Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on
the left, opposite the Welcome Inn.
From Broadway Plaza car park (this is a pay and display car park)
You will need to come out onto Ladywood Road, turn right and continue ahead - you will walk past the police station on
your right. The Deaf Cultural Centre is on your left, opposite the Welcome Inn.


By Bus
From Birmingham City Centre…
Bus No: 8
This bus goes along Monument Road and you can get off at the stop for the Saturday Hospital Fund (ask the bus driver if
you are not sure).
Bus No: 66/66A
This bus goes along Ladywood Middleway and you can get off at the police station. Leyburn Road is not far from the
police station, go to the end of this road and you are on Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on the
left, opposite the Welcome Inn.

By Train
The nearest stop to get off the train is at…
Five Ways
When you come out of this station, you turn left and walk towards the large Five Ways Island and past a row of shops,
you go down the subway. Take the 2nd exit (to come out of the subway) and right onto Ladywood Middleway. You will see
Tesco on your right, continue walking towards the Broadway Plaza, which is on your left. Cross at the pedestrian crossing
and continue ahead until you come to Leyburn Road (on your left). Go to the end of Leyburn Road and you are on
Ladywood Road. The Deaf Cultural Centre is 150 yards on the left, opposite the Welcome Inn.

 

By Metro
The nearest stop to get off the train is at…
Jewellery Quarter
Once there, you need to catch bus No. 8A. Once on the bus, wait until it goes round the large island and you will need to
get off at the first stop here (near the pedestrian crossing). You are on Monument Road, and you can see Ladywood
Road - from here, turn left. You will see the Deaf Cultural Centre further down, which is on your right.
